This bathroom remodel in Mt. Tabor, NJ was thoughtfully designed to support aging in place, combining safety, accessibility, and clean, timeless design. Our clients partnered with JMC, a Morris County based design-build company, to transform their existing bathroom into a bright, highly functional space that promotes independence without sacrificing style.

The goal was to create a bathroom that feels open, simple, and easy to navigate, while incorporating key accessibility features. A soft, neutral palette and large-format tile throughout the space enhance brightness and create a seamless, low-maintenance environment.

A curbless walk-in shower serves as the centerpiece, providing barrier-free access and improved safety. The open glass design keeps the space feeling expansive, while integrated grab bars, a handheld showerhead, and built-in shelving offer comfort, support, and convenience. A linear drain and slip-resistant tile flooring further enhance functionality and peace of mind.

The vanity area is designed for everyday ease, with clean-lined cabinetry, ample storage, and a durable countertop that’s easy to maintain. Bright, even lighting improves visibility, while thoughtful layout choices ensure everything is within comfortable reach.

Additional features like widened clearances and strategically placed support bars throughout the space make movement easier and safer, all while maintaining a cohesive, residential feel.
