Chatham Projects

This kitchen remodel in Chatham, NJ was designed to bring a sense of balance, warmth, and modern functionality to a well-loved home. Our clients were looking to update their space with a more open and cohesive layout, one that would better support everyday living while creating an inviting setting for gathering and entertaining.

The goal was to create a transitional kitchen that seamlessly blends classic design elements with clean, contemporary finishes. A soft, neutral color palette sets the foundation, with crisp white upper cabinetry paired with muted gray lower cabinets to introduce subtle contrast and depth. Warm hardwood flooring grounds the space, adding richness and a sense of continuity throughout the home.

At the center of the design is a thoughtfully planned layout that maximizes both flow and efficiency. The kitchen opens effortlessly into a dedicated dining area, creating a natural connection between cooking, dining, and socializing. A peninsula provides additional workspace and casual seating, making it an ideal spot for quick meals or conversation while cooking.

The cabinetry was designed to enhance storage while maintaining a clean, tailored appearance. Sleek hardware and integrated appliances contribute to the streamlined aesthetic, while a textured tile backsplash behind the range adds visual interest and a subtle focal point without overpowering the space.

Adjacent to the kitchen, a built-in dining nook offers a comfortable and stylish place for everyday meals. Framed by large windows that invite in natural light, this area feels bright and welcoming. The combination of bench seating and upholstered chairs creates a relaxed yet polished atmosphere, perfectly suited to both casual mornings and more intimate gatherings.

Layered lighting throughout the space ensures both functionality and ambiance, highlighting key areas while reinforcing the kitchen’s warm, inviting feel.

The result is a transitional kitchen that feels timeless yet fresh, designed with intention, tailored to the homeowners’ lifestyle, and built to evolve with them for years to come.
