This kitchen remodel in Boonton, NJ was thoughtfully designed for a family entering a new chapter as empty nesters. After raising three children in the home, our clients partnered with JMC, a Morris County based design-build company, to reimagine a space they already loved into something lighter, calmer, and better aligned with how they live today.

The goal was to create an open-concept kitchen remodel that felt breezy, coastal, and effortlessly comfortable, while remaining timeless, functional, and ideal for long-term living. A soft, neutral color palette paired with warm wood flooring sets a relaxed tone, allowing natural light to flow freely throughout the kitchen and adjacent living spaces. A custom coffered ceiling adds architectural interest and depth without overwhelming the room.

At the heart of the kitchen is a large custom island, designed for both everyday living and casual entertaining. The island features comfortable seating, making it perfect for relaxed mornings, quick meals, and gathering with family and friends. A built-in display shelf adds character and practical storage, providing a place to showcase meaningful pieces while maintaining a clean, organized aesthetic.

A dedicated butler’s pantry enhances the functionality of the space, offering additional storage and prep areas ideal for entertaining. Custom kitchen cabinetry throughout the home ensures everything has its place, supporting a layout that feels intentional, efficient, and easy to live in.
