Bathroom Tile Designs That Wow

Posted on:  November 11, 2016

Tile has been around for centuries and is still one of the most versatile remodeling materials out there due to its abundant variety of materials, shapes and sizes. In most recent years, unique tile patterns and materials are offering fresh new looks that work beautifully in modern, rustic and traditional design aesthetics alike. There is a tile style out there for everyone’s taste.

To demonstrate its versatility, we’d like to show you some standout tile layouts that JMC Home Improvement Specialists’ designed and installed in recent bathroom remodels.

Vertical Brick Tile Layout

In this guest bath, we created a design that would be installed vertically on the walls and horizontally on the ceiling with a vertical mosaic accent for interest. Vertical tile designs emphasize height and draw the eye up, which works perfectly in this shower.

Large Format Tile Layout

Square or rectangular tile pieces that are 12’x12’ or larger are considered large format. In this bath, a large format design was used not only in the shower but also on the walls to mimic a seamless appearance almost like marble. With less grout points, this tile will be easy to maintain.

Chevron Tile Floor

For a truly striking floor, try a chevron tile pattern. The floor design is very complimentary to the traditional design aesthetics in this master bath

Ceramic Wood Tile

Wood accent walls are extremely popular in design and remodeling right now. In this bathroom, JMC installed a wood ceramic tile on an accent wall and the floor to create a warm and natural feel to this powder room. The homeowners can enjoy the look of wood without all the maintenance.

Penny Round Tile

Penny tile has been around for over a hundred years, but it’s seen a surge in popularity over the past several years. Due to its size it offers a no slip surface and its shape is a refreshing change from the standard square and rectangular tile.

This is just a sampling of the tile designs we have created for our clients. For more bathroom design inspiration, please visit our portfolio. If you have questions about remodeling your own home we’d love to talk to you, simply contact us through our website or call 973-386-0707.
